Popular taste moves on and the music and singing styles of earlier generations are dismissed and forgotten.  It's made me sad enough to try to do something about it.  In fact, a fundamental purpose of this website is to preserve the best of bygone eras.

In 2018, Kenny Baker's son and his wife began to attend my church, and it got me thinking about his music.  I listened to his self-produced album, "The Stranger of Galilee," and I resolved to try to share his crystalline voice and brilliant interpretations in this site. That was the start, and now this page features many other prominent voices from many decades ago.
