Music for Ukraine - Day 17

(Sent on Easter)  I’ve been asking myself what is the appropriate song to send when the Christian world is celebrating Easter, while Ukraine is so troubled? It has to be a message of comfort, of expectation of peace, and of a higher sense of what is true. See if you agree that tonight’s song meets those criteria. While the kingdoms of this world are in turmoil, may we all hold to the fact that we – all of us throughout the world – have never left the kingdom of heaven.

Thy Kingdom Come
Words by Mary Baker Eddy (Man 41:21 and S&H 248:29)
And from the Bible (Matt 25:34)
Music by Carolyn Kardinal

Come, ye blessed of the Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

“Thy kingdom come;”
Let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me,
And rule out of me all sin;
And may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind and govern them!

Thy kingdom come.
Let unselfishness, goodness, mercy, justice, health, holiness, love – the kingdom of heaven –
Reign within us, and sin, disease, and death will diminish until they finally disappear.

Come, ye blessed of the Father.
Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
